Since neither the European Village nor Port Orange Pavilion farmers markets have reopened, yet, I have begun selling at a different market for the weekend.
Uncaged on Oceanshore is actually a seafood/sushi restaurant about five miles north of Rt 100 on Oceanshore Blvd (A1A) just outside of Flagler Beach in Painters Hill. They host a small outdoor market Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from noon to 5pm (or, for a couple of vendors, a little later).
I am now selling there Saturdays from noon to 5pm and look forward to seeing you there.
The city of Ormond Beach has given the go ahead for reopening the Farmers Market for produce, packaged-food and plant vendors.
Thursday, 04/30/2020, the market will reopen at the Library and City Hall, but in the parking lot behind the library, rather than in the plaza.
I shall be there with a limited selection this week and more next week. I'll still take orders for delivery or you may order for pickup at the market.
SEE YOU THERE!
Due to the measures being taken to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, the farmers markets where I usually sell have been canceled until at least the end of April.
Until the markets resume, I shall accept orders by email, phone or the website's contact page. We can then arrange to meet somewhere for you to pay for and pick up your order. Good locations would be, for example, the Ormond Beach City Hall / Library Plaza or outside the Publix supermarket at Halifax Plantation, Ormond Beach or Holly Hill.
Because of how things work when baking and because of the price of gas, there will be a minimum order amount of $20. The minimum order for breads will be 1 loaf. For most other items, the minimum quantity will be 3 or 4, depending upon the divisibility of the recipes. See the individual items on the website for details.
Some items are temporarily removed from the website since I don't have the ingredients to fulfill those orders.
Please call, email or use the contact page for your inquiries and orders.
Thank you for your business and for your understanding during these cancellations.
UPDATE: Have just completed the ServSafe COVID-19 training for both takeout and delivery.
If you would like me to bring something special to one of the markets, just let me know. If you want me to set aside some of my regular products so they'll be waiting for you when you get to the market or if you want me to make something that I don't usually bring to every market (e.g. Irish Soda Bread when it's not near St. Patrick's Day). I'll be happy to fulfill your request.
I'll even take requests for completely new items (e.g. Squaw Bread), in which case, you may provide a recipe or I'll search for one and confirm it with you before making it. I'll also give you a price estimate, once I've seen the recipe and priced all of the ingredients, so you can decide whether or not I should make it.
Of course, all requests must be for items that I am allowed to sell under Florida's cottage-food law, (i.e. only products that are shelf stable and do not require refrigeration).
For items I've already made and sold, please contact me at least three days before market, since I'll need to get the necessary ingredients and arrange my baking schedule . For completely new items, please allow at least two weeks, so I can research the recipe, check it with you, get the ingredients, etc.
Thank you for choosing Cottage Oven!
Bread with the flavor kick of cheddar cheese and jalapeño peppers.
With the change of seasons comes the change of seasonal muffins. Pumpkin-Spice Muffins are back!
A moist, delicious cake with lots of fresh lemon juice and zest. Perfect for lemon lovers!
Please "pardon the dust" as the website is being remodeled. It will be able to accept and process orders soon.
Cottage Oven is a Florida-based cottage-food business. All products are made in my own home kitchen in Ormond Beach and sold at farmer's markets or face-to-face with customers. Under cottage law, although I can sell on this website, I cannot ship anything to anyone. However, you are welcome to contact me if you would like me to bring something to either the Ormond Beach Farmer's Market, the European Village Farmer's Market in Palm Coast or directly to you in the general Daytona Beach / Palm Coast area.
